A further Television offer came in 1975 when Gerard de Vries offered Al a spot on a International Country Music Show in Utrecht in Holland on the 20th December 1975 Gerard was a well known presenter of Country Music on Radio and Television in Holland. He had played tracks from Al’s album on his radio show on several occasions. This was to be broadcast by TROS television. It is interesting to note the difference in payment from 1958. For this performance Al was offered 3500 guilders (£580 pounds) plus Hotel and a Airport transfer.
Al was next on Television on 12th April 1979 when he appeared on Southern Televisions Scene South East programme presented by Mike Field. This was prior to his appearance at The International Country Music Festival at Wembley on Saturday 14th April. Al performed his self penned song “A Million Songs”
